What key words best describe your hope for the future?
climate, zerowaste, marketing communications, changemakers, winemaking
Describe what are you working on in the field of climate change, environmental protection, environmental justice or social impact.
I lead public relations and communications endeavors for Fetzer Vineyards, the world's largest winery to achieve B Corp certification and a leader in regenerative winegrowing since 1968. The only US winery invited to speak at the Paris Climate Talks, Fetzer Vineyards has recently taken a more vocal position on climate policy and environmental justice matters, signing the Low Carbon USA Pledge sent to the President and generally leveraging our corporate brand to bring attention to some the most important matters of our time.
How might other W&E conference attendees be able to support your work, goals or objectives?
I look forward to learning more of what's been effective in communications and storytelling around environmental topics and issues, from other business leaders and those active on the front lines of policy generation and changemaking.
What are you able and willing to contribute to other attendees at the conference to support their work, goals or objectives?
I'm willing to share success stories from our winery. We've taken one of the most advanced positions on sustainability in the US wine industry, becoming ZeroWaste and CarbonNeutral, and farming our extensive acreage in Mendocino County according to more environmentally friendly organic and biodynamic practices.
