Describe what are you working on in the field of climate change, environmental protection, environmental justice or social impact.
I am president of the board of Santa Barbara's Community Environmental Council working to forge local solutions to the climate crisis -- such as implementing solar, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and strengthening the food system. I"m also involved in a new initiative called SustainSB to create a sustainability index that will empower our community to set and reach bolder goals. With Al Gore's advocacy organization, I've worked nationally on climate legislation and currently serve on the board of Ocean Conservancy.
How might other W&E conference attendees be able to support your work, goals or objectives?
Especially in this national climate, we'd like to engage more people in our local efforts and for us to learn more about what we can and should be doing.
What are you able and willing to contribute to other attendees at the conference to support their work, goals or objectives?
