What key words best describe your hope for the future?
Gender and environmental justice through marketing and cosultant work
Describe what are you working on in the field of climate change, environmental protection, environmental justice or social impact.
I am co-founder and Vice president of the MERITO Foundation. A non for profit environmental group dedicated to protect the ocean by facilitating education, conservation, and scientific research opportunities to multicultural youth and their communities. We increase students' understanding of the importance of the ocean in their lives, awareness of ocean-related threats, and the adoption of environmentally friendly practices so that we all contribute to ocean protection. We also strive to motivate diverse youth to pursue science, technology or engineering careers that relate to the ocean.
How might other W&E conference attendees be able to support your work, goals or objectives?
There are many ways including networking, collaborations, sponsorship, references and volunteer work. We have a page in our website with options for in kind and financial support at https://www.meritofoundation.org/donate-now
What are you able and willing to contribute to other attendees at the conference to support their work, goals or objectives?
It depends on the work the other attendees are doing. If the attendees work is congruent with my vision and values and merits support, I can potentially collaborate, refer, connect, volunteer or partner with some of the attendees.
